Beth talks hospitality at HX The Hotel Experience

We are proud to announce that Beth will present at the upcoming HX The Hotel Experience at the Javits Center, 655 W 34th St, in New York, Room 1E10/11, on Monday, November 12 at 12:00-1:00 pm. She will share her expertise on behalf of the hospitality industry on How to Use Photography and Motion to Powerfully Communicate your Brand. Understanding how to use imagery is essential for all brands since visual communications are very powerful tools used to motivate and connect with your consumer.

The hospitality industry tends to use very similar language and types of imagery, making it difficult for consumers to viscerally “get” what differentiates your brand and your offering. Defining your brand at the deepest level will provide the groundwork to bring your brand authentically and successfully to market, no matter the size, using visual communications to seduce your audiences.  Consumers in the travel and hospitality world are especially moved by compelling visuals, so please come on over!

Reminder: Beth at AOP on October 14

This is a quick reminder to you all that Beth Taubner will be speaking about Photo Cycles: How to Position Yourself in the Current Environment from 1:45-3:15 on October 14. She will also review still and motion portfolios on October 17 from 11:00-3:00 as part of the AOP Open Surgeries event at the Old Truman Brewery. AOP Beyond the Lens: Beth Speaks and Reviews Portfolios

We are proud to announce that Beth will be giving a talk at this year's AOP Beyond the Lens event, and we couldn't be more excited. She is thrilled to bring her international perspective as a Brand Strategist and Creative Director to her talk, and to her portfolio reviews.

On Friday, October 14 from 1:45-3:15pm, Beth will speak on the topic "Photo Cycles: How To Position Yourself In The Current Environment." UK folks, make a note in your diary as this is one you won't want to miss! Many photographers feel like the market is happening to them these days, so in this talk Beth will turn her expertise to unraveling some of the ways that you can calibrate your position in the marketplace, based on who you really are, and your own particulars drives and goals.

Beth will also conduct portfolio reviews on behalf of the AOP on Monday, October 17,  from 11:00am-3:00pm. Beth is very focused on the language aspect of your brand, so be prepared to speak about your work first, and show imagery second. Book your slot in advance here. She is interested in seeing both stills and motion, and we suggest early booking as her reviews fill up quickly.

Beth at Shoot Amsterdam, April 4th 2016

Spring has arrived and that means Shoot Amsterdam is just around the corner! 

We are pleased to announce that Beth has been invited to present her
talk, Branding 101: Discovering and Implementing Your Point of View at this year’s event on Monday 4th April at 3pm as part of the DuPho Business Seminars at Shoot Amsterdam.

It will be Beth’s first visit to Amsterdam and she is looking forward to sharing her ‘brand evangelism’ with a new audience, as well visiting the renovated Rijksmuseum, she hopes to be wowed by the tulip fields and eat a good gouda sandwich!

Double Header: Beth's seminar and panel for the Association of Photographers at ShootLDN

A big “Thank you!” to the wonderful audiences that attended Beth’s recent events at the AOP Awards Exhibition and Seminars in London last week. We’d like to give a special thank you to the panellists that joined Beth for an insightful discussion on Friday about navigating the worlds of stills and motion – thanks to Josh Rothstein, James Gerrard-Jones, Ross Walker and Waldo Wilkinson for sharing their wisdom in this lively and educating talk. They covered a range of topics from the protocols of film production and budgeting, how to identify what your own brand is and how to express and manage this over different mediums, the differences between preparing a motion shoot compared to a stills shoot, the challenges of maintaining consistency between your stills and motion work, and how to approach writing treatments for motion work.


Saturday saw Beth riding solo as she delivered a presentation that spoke about the process commercial photographers can make to cross over into the fine art world. The seminar was a deep exploration covering both the visual and practical issues surrounding developing a fine art practice today

Beth on Brand Definition at The International Journalism Festival, Perugia, April 16, 2015

Beth has been invited to speak at the prestigious International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy on April 16th at 5 PM.. She is excited, as she is the first branding person to speak since the Festival's inception. Journalists, photojournalists, media people, and people interested in the news and worldwide culture gather in the historic town of Perugia, Italy, where the Festival takes over the old town center for four immersive days. 

If you are unable to attend this year, hope to see you there next year to gain insights, learn, and share a great plate of pasta!
