Beth talks hospitality at HX The Hotel Experience

We are proud to announce that Beth will present at the upcoming HX The Hotel Experience at the Javits Center, 655 W 34th St, in New York, Room 1E10/11, on Monday, November 12 at 12:00-1:00 pm. She will share her expertise on behalf of the hospitality industry on How to Use Photography and Motion to Powerfully Communicate your Brand. Understanding how to use imagery is essential for all brands since visual communications are very powerful tools used to motivate and connect with your consumer.

The hospitality industry tends to use very similar language and types of imagery, making it difficult for consumers to viscerally “get” what differentiates your brand and your offering. Defining your brand at the deepest level will provide the groundwork to bring your brand authentically and successfully to market, no matter the size, using visual communications to seduce your audiences.  Consumers in the travel and hospitality world are especially moved by compelling visuals, so please come on over!

Teaching Young Entrepreneurs at The Prince’s Trust

Beth is thrilled to once again contribute her expertise to young entrepreneurs at The Prince’s Trust! This transformational branding workshop will take place on July 17, 2018, from 13:00-16:00 at The Prince’s Trust House in London. 

For those of you not familiar, The Prince’s Trust is a wonderful organization that provides support and services to transform the lives of young people, professionals and entrepreneurs from ages 11 to 30. At their core, The Prince’s Trust believes every young person should have the chance to embrace exciting opportunities. Staying true to this belief, they have helped over 80,000 young people to start their own business since 1983. This is something we can all support and engage in! 

In this special workshop for The Prince’s Trust Enterprise programme, Beth will share her knowledge on transformational branding and will provide guidance for Enterprise programme members seeking to build and define their brand and launch their work into the marketplace. She will teach attendees what it means to discover, define and build their brand, and the tools they will need to communicate and come to market. Attendees will come away thinking like brand analysts, which will give them powerful insights into how to position their product or service successfully in the future.

What Makes a Go-To Production Company?

We are happy to announce that Beth will be speaking on behalf of the savvy Advertising Producers Association (APA) in London. The highly informative Marketing Now event takes place on Thursday, June 28, 2018, from 9:00-11:00am at the Picturehouse Central in Piccadilly. Beth will be the first speaker at 9:00, talking about “What Makes a Go-To Production Company” at this APA members-only event. 

She will share her expertise as to what makes a go-to production company or animator? Why should clients choose to collaborate with you to bring their brands to life? How do you define, create and maintain a clear brand voice that connects to your audiences, regardless of what part of the market you are in? In this primer on essential core branding, Beth will answer these questions and help the audience discover how to excavate, analyze, communicate and operate as a powerhouse brand.

Trends in Food to Go

Beth recently attended the Food & Drink Innovation Network (FDIN) Food to Go bi-monthly conference in London. It was a fantastic opportunity to hear from seven phenomenal speakers about a wide variety of innovations, opportunities and market trends in the Food to Go segment. It was an interesting mix of statistics, personal stories and insights into the eating and buying habits of food to go consumers.

Speaking and Eating at Hotelympia!

Thank you to Emily Newman, our fellow panellists and everyone who attended our "Cutting Through Noise" seminar at the great Hotelympia event in London on March 5 2018. Beth discussed the importance of brand definition and the key aspects to consider when launching and maintaining your brand in the hospitality industry. She spoke about the importance of building your community and creating a connection with your audiences, whether they are internal, national or even virtual.

We had a great time at Hotelympia and gave us an opportunity to look at the wide variety of suppliers and their specialised products – plus we had lots of fun trying out the delicious food and drinks!

AOP Beyond the Lens: Beth Speaks and Reviews Portfolios

UK folks, make a note in your diary as this is one you won't want to miss!

Come on over to the Truman Brewery in sunny East London. Beth will be speaking at 2017 AOP Beyond The Lens on October 13, and we are excited about this year’s timely topic. As always, Beth will bring her international perspective as a Brand Strategist and Creative Director to her talk, and to her portfolio reviews.

On Friday, October 13, from 2:00-3:00pm, Beth will speak on Brand Language for Visual People. She will use real-world examples to show a variety of ways in which brands effectively communicate their brands through words, using vehicles such as email, website writing, advertising, treatments, artists statements, news items and bios. Beth feels strongly that the ability to communicate through language provides the opportunities for artists to succinctly and clearly evoke their brand attributes and capabilities, and to communicate more effectively and strategically for greater clarity and success. You will learn lots!
Beth will also conduct portfolio reviews on behalf of the AOP on Saturday, October 14, from 12:00-3:00pm. Beth is very focused on the language aspect of your brand and your ability to communicate through words (so think about attending her talk on Friday). Please be prepared to speak about your work first, and show imagery second. Book your slot in advance. She is interested in seeing both stills and motion, and we suggest early booking as her reviews fill up quickly.

Speaking and Eating at lunch!

A huge thank you to Chris Brazier and to all that attended Beth's presentation at lunch! Beth dissected the realities of what it takes to build your brand and launch a successful café business to a full audience of enthusiastic food entrepreneurs.

As always, lunch! was delicious. The stalls were busy, and the halls were packed with the rich flavours of the contemporary food scene. Lots of snacking took place, of course!

Thank You: The Princes's Trust

Beth is thrilled to announce that she is participating in The Prince's Trust Business Enterprise Program! This is a highly effective business training, mentorship and incubator for at risk young people aged between 18-30.

For her first presentation, she gave a talk on the fundamentals of brand creation to a group of budding young entrepreneurs. Beth spoke about how to analyze and build a brand and what tools it takes to excavate your own brand. Part two saw a breakout exercise, with participants defining and presenting thier newly developed brand anaylst skills.

All the attendees were fantastic, and proved to be a sharp and engaged audience!

Beth would like to thank The Prince's Trust and the team for inviting her to be a part of this inspiring program and looks forward to working with them and their dedicated young people over the coming months. Thank you, Prince's Trust!
